Draft for review. This page explains what personal data this website and the Shotcount application handle, and why. The controller is Stories Not Atoms Ltd, England and Wales.

The pilot form. If you submit the pilot request form we store what you enter — name, email, company or production, role and, if given, a note about what you’re shooting — together with the country your request came from and your browser’s user-agent string. We use this only to contact you about the pilot. It is stored in Cloudflare’s key-value storage and emailed to us. We keep it for as long as the pilot programme runs, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form.

The Shotcount application

Shotcount runs on your own computers and moves media, annotations and session data directly between the machines in a session. That data never passes through servers we operate and we cannot see it.

The application contacts our update server to check for new versions. That request includes your app version and macOS version, so we can serve the right update. No account, no identifier and no usage analytics are sent.

A licence key is checked against our licensing provider when the app is activated. That check includes the key and a hardware identifier so the seat count can be enforced.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our processing, by emailing us at the address on the Company page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes

We’ll update this page when what we do changes, and note the date above.
